    Thanks Bobcat - sadly I got a heads up two days ago about a wedding in a month for a friend of a friend so I don't think I have the time for the flavor to integrate. - I will look into this. Did you use it only for dry hopping or also during krausen?

    I'm branching out for my house beer. Usually I dry hop with Citra after doing a Centennial/Amarillo (20, 10, whirlpool at 180 for 20 mins) but looking at different ideas for a high krausen/dry hop. On hand I have El Dorado, Galaxy, Idaho #7, Citra, and Mosaic but I don't have a problem going...

    If you get a manual AC unit, the wiring will be much easier than an electronic one to bypass the AC power button. I do use an inkbird to turn the AC unit off and on though so you don't need the one that he's using above although his solution is much cleaner.

    I just did both of my 15 gal conicals with no issues at all. My basement was in the high 50s so cooler than normal but the AC unit was nowhere near overworked so I'm confident that it would work at a much higher ambient.

    Question about putting the vials in the fridge and then freezing them. How do you keep the glycerin in suspension to protect the yeast? They separate after a few hours. Or is that unnecessary? Thanks!

    Hey all - great thread. Trying to determine if I should buy a "real" pressure cooker or if one of those electric ones will do the job. I've been reading that the electric pressure cookers are not safe for canning. Thanks!

    I "brewed" this last year (2012-09-29) with unpasteurized apple cider from a farm down the road from me and brown sugar - finally tasted it tonight. Wow. Just wow - amazing. I will be making 20 gallons for next year!
