    Question re taking out of fridge if not enough carbonation

    I have been reading beer brewers posts and it sounds like they do warm yeast up to get it active again. I am a novice when it comes to rootbeer, too, but since that principle does work with yeast in bread, it seems to me it ought to work with rootbeer? At the very least, you shouldn't be...

    First ROOTBEER

    I believe it's the flavor that causes the problem, at least that is what I have been told. Once rootbeer gets into a keg, or anything else, it's darn near impossible to get every last bit of that flavor and smell out!

    homemade carb cap

    I am really curious about the forced carbonation with the pressure caps. So, you make your own carb water with yeast, then force it into the bottles, if I understand things correctly? Thus you have yeast carbonation without the yeast flavor or time? And you have a guarantee of carbonated soda...

    2 batches... lack carbonation

    I am having problems with carbonation, as well. However, my directions do advise to let the rootbeer set longer than yours do. They say to let it set at warm temps for at least 3-4 days and then set at cool (below 65 degrees) for 2 weeks for better flavor. Maybe that will help you get the fizz...
