Home Brewing Biography
I got started in 2012 with Brooklyn Brew Shop's 1 gallon kits. I brewed three batches, decided I liked the process, then moved up to three gallon batches. I brewed 3-5 times a year for the next half decade or so. I finally added a keg system in Dec. '17, and that did it for me. I brewed 20x in 2018, and I'm on a steady twice a month schedule in 2019. An additional factor in the pace of my brewing is that for health reasons my wife has had to be gluten-free for two years. So, while my homebrew used to occasionally supplement the beer we would buy in stores and breweries, for the last year and a half, it's been the entirety of the beer we drink.
