    CAMRA / "Real" Ale

I'm English.....here's my take on this "debate". There are 2 types of beer....those you like to drink....and those you dont.:tank: I also think that drinkers from countries like America and Australia tend to like their beers with a high level of carbonation(something you will not get with...

    Opened my first bottle today

In a few more weeks they will be superb!!. I made a brew that tasted a lot like a beer called Hobgoblin and at one week there was little carbonation, after a month they were outstanding!! Give your brew a little more time and then report back and let us know how it is?

The pressure relief valve will start blowing at about 10psi.I tried fitting a gauge to one of my lids, but i couldnt get a good seal and the co2 slowly leaked out.If you want to know if the barrel is leaking then seal the lid on(use vaseline on the rubber o ring in the lid)put a little co2 in the...

Bud - official beer of the World Cup...in Munich?

Enough talk about Bud and football.IMHO they deserve each other,as they are both a watered down, pissy imitation of a beer and sport.Thank god that Rugby Union attracts neither. As the Wychwood brewery advertizing states"scared of the dark lager boy":p Yours faithfully An ale and rugby...

    Bottling

You could always syphon a little of the 'sludge' from the bottom of the secondary if you feel the need. That should give you enough for carbonation!:tank:
