    Hi guys, Bit of a silly question perhaps but I’m wondering if anybody sanitizes their bottles in advance of bottling day? I use flip top bottles and was hoping I could sanitize them and put the lids down to seal them. That way I could shave quite a bit of time off when I bottle next week...

    Yep it was an extract batch - 4lbs DME and 2lbs LME. I'll see if I can get the fermenter in a warmer room for some time. Thanks for the advise guys.

    I have almost the exact same question except my 1st batch has been in the primary only since Saturday - when should I take a gravity reading. I started out at 1.050 - is it ok to take a gravity reading now to see how it's doing or should i just wait?
