Help with my Blind Pig Clone

Looks good... I'd add a bit more hops, maybe some cascade, centennial or Amarillo at 5 or 0. and I'd use a Cali or NW Ale yeast. and maybe a bit of corn sugar I've tried a few semi blind pig/Pliny clones and can't quite get the efficiency and alcohol of a pliny. this one did taste...

That could explain my difficulty twisting them off in the last couple weeks. Damn things haven't been on sale either. LOL.

    Malt preference poll

ALL F-ING GRAIN! 50 Pounds of grain for $30 add some special grains fora few more bucks. So much variety. So much creativity! I started partial mash, 4 or 5 batches, then went all grain. No looking back. Just as easy as partial and its your beer! No other like it. If you can brew with a...

I dont think I care about my OG anymore

How does a hydrometer effect the taste? How good is your hydrometer? How good are you at reading it? I don't use one, like I said, but probably will again just to learn how to and just to know. My point is , don't worry about it.

    Black Dog Ale

A bit of both. I do have a black dog, but also liked the rock n roll reference as well. I had named a previous brew Heavy Metal Ale. I'll try to post some pics of the labels when I get the chance.

I dont think I care about my OG anymore

Dude! I am with ya. I "tried" to take some readings for a couple batches to see alcohol content, but why? Who cares. I've done 5 partial and 10 AG and each as been good. My main problem is not waiting at least 2 weeks after I bottle. I guess if entering a contest you need to know ? but...

    plastic carboys and reused yeast

For the first time, I just tried to re-use my last batch. Cali Ale Yeast in plastic bucket. Its been nearly 18 hours and I don't see any activity. I had a blow off setup but didn't see anything happen. I put the airlock back on to see I could tell if anything was happening. I'm thinking the...

    First all-grain batch. No carbonation.

I'd wait a week or so, check em then. Or, you could chill a couple and mix them with your favorite like beer. They still taste good right?
