Hmmm I always thought most triples were supposed to be cloudy? La fin du monde my favorite beer is very cloudy but that's bottles conditioned and they recommend pouring the yeast in? Dont think its oxidized. Maybe I'll let it warm up a bit before drinking.
Hey all I have a Belgian triple thats about 8 weeks old and it seems the longer it sits in the keg the clearer and less flavorful it gets. The beer was great earlier on but it seems a lot of that Belgian yeast has settled in the keg reducing its flavor. How do you counteract this should I shake...
My two most recent GF brews are ready for kegging! Ones a citrus wit and the other Gavins Mighty Helles. Not hard to tell which one had gelatin added eh? Looking forward to tasting these very soon.
Yeah first time doing that. I figured I'd just dunk the hops,orange peel and lemongrass in the spider as it was draining. Sorta like dipping a big teabag...lol. Figured maybe I'd draw a little extra flavor out of it.

Just ordered a Grainfather,graincoat,mangrove jack spider,refractometer and preordered the new controller�� So excited....hope it boils ok.

Well I guess the mangrove jacks 800 um that is recommended for the Grainfather isn't the best choice as I only use pellet hops.Strange to make such a large diameter mesh don't you think??
Hello all....I was about to order a new grainfather and was going to also get a SS hop spider with it and I have two choices 300um or 800um mesh. Do anyone have experience with either size spider? Is the 300um to small and prone to clogging and poor hop oil penetration and /or is 800 um too...
Hit my gravity spot on but realized I had no head space left for the limeade. What should I do rack some off and add limeade to the primary or rack to secondary to add limeade? Probably doesn't matter right? If I rack to secondary will there be enough yeast left behind to take care of the...
