I never know what to put in these things.
As I write this, my house smells like burnt marshmallows (in a good way!), as a result of the batch of Bochet I just put on. I found the info through this forum, so figured I'd sign up
My husband and I started brewing in October 2009, when I woke him up with the brilliant idea of taking up brewing as a way to deal with all of the apples in the big tree out back in our new home. We had a 5 gallon batch on the same day. It was an insane amount of labor - him hauling several hundred lbs of apples, me chopping and putting them through our dinky little home juicer... but the results were spectacular, and we were hooked!
Together, we enjoy brewing various wines and meads (no grape wine, though!), and he enjoys brewing beer. It's kind of insane how quickly our little "Hey, I have an idea!" bloomed into what we're at today, but hey - fun, tasty.. we're all for it! Next big project is going to be building a press for this year's apple crop.
