well ... those numbers are from the recipe, i haven't actually tried it yet. its a Belgian golden ale yeast, and they say make a starter 2 days before ... so that prolly has something to do with it? I've never used a starter before ... so, and i've never finished below 1.015 gravity ... so...

christmas Ale, you can only buy from roughly november 5 until they run out, which is usually way before christmas. you can get it just about anywhere in cleveland. the other 2, i don't believe they bottle ... but you can get a growler filled at the brewery ... that would be interesting to ship?

i use one of those brass caryboy cleaning attachments for the sink. works pretty awesome at cleaning the sides and bottom, and the heavy flow usually cleans the gunk from the top too. never had to scrub

i read somewere that its possible to basically kill the conversion from the grains by steeping or mashing at too high a temperature ... i think above 170 degrees. i don't remember exactly ... but it was something about the temperature basically getting too high and stopping the chemical...

i would definitely recommend buying from him, especially if your local. i bought 2, he dropped them off to my house ... well ... he actually dropped off 3 for some reason ... but they all hold pressure and are clean. very excellent deal and very very good transaction.
