Already have a couple locals interested in the complete mill setup so going to hold on that for now. Good tip on pirateship though, I’ll check that out.
Bump. I am going to start parting this out. Not planning to ship, but willing to meet within a reasonable distance of Des Moines. Send me a message if there are specific pieces you’re interested in.

Decided that it's time to retire from homebrewing and dedicate time for some other hobbies.
Edit: Going to start parting this out.
Selling full 10 gallon brew system. Turn key. Everything you need to brew, ferment, keg (or...
Vic Secret, Enigma, Riwaka, Idaho 7, Nectaron.... probably more.
Nelson should absolutely be on the list. TG is putting out a lot of killer IPA's with nelson in the bill.
Edit: also columbus makes a killer supporting hop.
A good starting place would be:
95/5 Pilsner/Carahell
or
90/10 Pilsner/Munich
Use German malts only. Weyermann Barke Pilsner is definitely my go to. Melanoidin and victory don’t belong in traditional helles.
Target 1.046-1.048
Dont bother with decoction, but do mash for fermentability. If you...
That's true, but you can tell based on headspace pressure/head on the pour ABOUT how carbonated it is. After trying it a few times, you will get a feel for how far along it is.
I would usually be able to put it in the fridge on day 3-4.
When using CBC-1, you can either pull a sample to check the gravity (be very careful using picnic taps, because the PSI at room temp may crack the valve), or very gently test the PRV valve to see how much pressure has built up in the keg.
Or just pull a glass and taste.
I would probably go heavier with citra late in the boil (if you do boil additions) and whirlpool and then go heavier on the nelson in the dry hop. Maybe 2:1 Citra in the whirlpool and 2:1 nelson in the dry hop.
I had a Citra/Nelson double from WeldWerks/Casey (it was a collab) called Transmountain Diversion. It was phenomenal. One of the best IPA's I've ever had. That combo gets my vote.
I also brewed an El Dorado/Nelson session NEIPA (3.2%abv) and that combo worked nicely as well.
