AnBrew Garage brewery build (100L single tier eHERMS)

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't have a detailed parts list, I sort of put together all the parts as I went along. I mostly followed Kal's setup and just changed the parts I needed to fit European 230V (so mostly the circuit breakers and contactors).

Sure thing. I had mine made at formulor.de, which is the German counterpart of https://www.ponoko.com/ and it cost me around 80€ including international shipping and customs fees. You can probably expect to pay half that much if you're ordering from Ponoko within the U.S. Here's the file I...

Here's the diagram I made and used : https://www.dropbox.com/s/7myydl1tires3hd/anbrew-electrical-v0.1-main.pdf?dl=0 Please note though that it's designed for the standard European 3-phase 230V, if you're in the US you'd be much better off following Kal's diagrams on theelectricbrewery.com

The rest of the garage is just reinforced concrete (uninsulated), so heating it would be a huge waste of energy, and here in Switzerland air conditioning isn't really a thing, at least in private spaces, since it doesn't often get unbearably hot outside of a couple weeks a year. I brewed this...

AnBrew Garage brewery build (100L single tier eHERMS)

It's going to get cold soon, and I've been putting off the big works for a bit (mostly because I've been quite busy on the week-ends lately). But now that the new kegerator is operational, it's time to focus on making the brewery livable for the winter! So this week-end I had a friend come...

    Le Fûgidaire v2.0 - 6 tap keezer/bar

I think we’re overdue for an update! Time to take things apart again and start building something functional. First step. As you can see, I miscalculated the ledge when I built the solidworks model, and didn’t really pay attention to that part, so the drawer ends up too close to the edge of...

    Le Fûgidaire v2.0 - 6 tap keezer/bar

I managed to make some decent progress again this week-end. I took apart the tower and painted the parts. I used the same coloured varnish on the tower as I used on the table top. The backsplash is getting a coat of clear oil for contrast. I had also pre-cut the parts for the shelving on...

    Le Fûgidaire v2.0 - 6 tap keezer/bar

Not shown here, my attempts to make straight cuts through beechwood using a jig saw. I failed miserably, so I took all my wood back to my dad’s workshop and we cut everything to length on the table saw : I got a little carried away during the next bit and didn’t take many progress pics...

    Le Fûgidaire v2.0 - 6 tap keezer/bar

Cut and painted the two parts of the outer shell. Countertop : And the walls that will be holding it up : I assembled the walls with dowels and angle pieces because I want to be able to take it apart easily when I move out. So far it seems to be solid enough And here’s the...

    Le Fûgidaire v2.0 - 6 tap keezer/bar

So, three months after my initial idea post, I’m ready to share some progress with you all. First of all, I’ve updated my CAD model. I’ve made the tower taller and moved it forward. This Should allow us to run a shelf behind it and still leave space for wine bottles or plants...

    Le Fûgidaire v2.0 - 6 tap keezer/bar

I've taken a break from updating my garage brewery while I move into a new flat (the brewery is staying where it is though), so I thought I'd start a build thread to document my progress. The new flat has an L-shaped kitchen that opens onto the dining/sitting room, so we decided we would...

AnBrew Garage brewery build (100L single tier eHERMS)

It's been holding up quite nicely so far. I'd say the wood is the part that's holding up best for now. I don't have exact number yet for boil-off rate, but if I turn on both elements (6000W for 40-50 litres), it's *very* vigorous. The extractor manages to pull out the steam quite well, but I...

AnBrew Garage brewery build (100L single tier eHERMS)

As promised, now that spring is upon us again, I’ve picked up the brewery build for this year. I have a lot of plans (most of which I’ve outlined in the previous post), so we’ll see if I can find the time (and money :)) to get all of them done before the winter. I’m hoping to finally have a nice...

AnBrew Garage brewery build (100L single tier eHERMS)

Hey, thanks for checking in! Two days ago I finished my 8th brewday on the new system, and I'm very happy with the way it's been behaving (and also identified a whole lot of things I want to fix/improve). So far, I'm quite happy with the consistency of the results I'm getting. I've got my...
