    Primary fermentation in corny keg

Wait, can you explain or link me to something explaining pressure fermenting please?

New kegerator smells like CO2..do I have a leak?

How would I test for leaks on the posts of the kegs themselves? Just disconnect the hoses and spray with soapy water? Or would that not test the o-rings seal? I just washed the inside of my kegerator (lots of condensation, need to get it out of the garage and put in a better moisture absorber)...

    Kenmore 5 cu ft keezer

I posted a bit of a build thread here: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/my-itty-bitty-keezer-244947/index2.html

    Frozen keg?

UPDATE - Keg wasn't frozen. The dip tube seems to have been aligned poorly such that it was up against the bottom of the keg rather than down in the little "trough". I made a pin-lock socket tonight (first time I've used the Dremel in a couple years!) and just tacking it apart and putting it...

    Carboy/ Keg Cleaner Giveaway

Looks pretty neat... wonder if you could put a hole through a bucket lid and clean those with this too?

    Frozen keg?

Hm, I think KegConnection advertises that they have quick disconnects on all their connectors, so maybe there is an easy way to do it. Also, saw your edit, and I'm sure the lines are clear - brand new and I can push sanitizer through them from another keg. I'll try this out later, but I'm...

    Frozen keg?

Suggestion about how to do this with a pin lock?

    Frozen keg?

I'm not 100% without doubt certain, but I'm pretty darn sure. I can hear the co2 rush out if I use the pressure release tool (pin locks) and I can hear it ... creep in... if I shake the keg around a bit (it's not fully carbed yet, so still absorbing co2).

    Frozen keg?

I just finished my keezer and moved an ESB I've been aging for awhile (really didn't want to bottle it...) into a keg and threw it in the keezer to chill and then put it some gas. In the meantime, I washed and sanitized another keg, which I then used to sanitize my lines and faucets. The...

First time kegging - slightly overwhelmed by info

If you were to fill a keg with CO2 then released the pressure and opened it nice and careful, then you carefully cracked open the bottles and poured them in with the mouth of the bottle inside the keg the beer would never touch oxygen, since the denser co2 in the keg and the neck of the bottle...

Fill 5L kegs from a corny?

I'm not really interested in using (expensive) co2 cartridges and I don't need the beer to last more than a day or two. And I can get a mini keg of Oberon for $18, which can't be much more than the Miller jug... And I don't have to drink Miller Lite. So, I'm thinking a Bowie Bottler and a...

Fill 5L kegs from a corny?

So are you filling them off a tap or are you filling one at bottling time and priming it?

Fill 5L kegs from a corny?

You could do that, but... 1) soda is car bed much higher than beer - like 30psi, so you'll need a second regulator and lots of bev line hooked to it. And, 2) you can get concentrate and just mix it with water in the keg rather than buying and dealing with 8-9 2 liter bottles.

Fill 5L kegs from a corny?

Ya, I want to avoid transporting co2, etc. Basically, I thinking of this as 2.5 growlers that I can store on ice for a few people outdoors away from my place, etc. It would be nice to be able to "seal" it in with so e co2 though, so it would stay fresh and car bed until you tapped it (much like...

Fill 5L kegs from a corny?

You know those little mini kegs at the grocery store (not the Heineken ones, but the other brands)? Can I get a couple of those and fill them back up off my keg to bring with me for parties, etc? Obviously it will lose carbonation over a couple days, but if it's a fill and drink (using the...
