Well....I brewed my first batch a few months ago, and have yet to brew my second batch.
I did the same thing that the starter of this thread did...I tasted and sampled from the beginning, and still have some left to taste.
What I learned from that (although the beer is not bad) It is not...
My neck of the woods is the South West Coast of Canada.
My local term for liquor store??? It is actually called the Government Liquor board store.
One can purchase beer and wine from some local (general) stores...but it is a bit more expensive.
Liquor store Price = 19 something dollars (plus deposit) for 15 cans of Wildcat.
Home Brew Price = 20.00 dollars for 5 gallons...more than twice as many bottles.
The equipment is a one time expense... (which does not have to be all that much) once your initial start up cost is recovered. It can...

There is so much stuff presented on boards like this...some of it is helpful...some is not. It is the job of the researcher to separate the wheat from the chaff. The researcher is the likes of people like you and me.
