No one said anything i read about not using aluminum when making a lemonade clone. Made some limeade, and it completely stripped the aluminum oxide off my kettle and left it admitedly brand new clean.
But, my brew turned a darker color and I'm a tad concerned about the amount of aluminum now...
Seems my local home brew store was under 3 feet of water and won't be coming back soon. Online ordering is a rather large hassle for a few bucks in bungs...would any other type of store have them or is there an alternative?
The midwest one is appealing since it's close...I'm in Iowa. We have a local store, but they're more of an alcohol retailer and just have limited selections of homebrewing equipment. The only dry yeast they have is the Nottingham.
Seems like there's quite a few suppliers/brands of yeast out there and I'm having trouble finding recommendations for some of the best ones. What supplier's would be best to use/what brand's are most recommended? Looking for all dry for ale, mead, and champagne...
Thanks
Looking for a bench bottle capper and as far as i can tell there's only the Colona and Agata ones. I'm looking for something that isn't a cheap piece of plastic crap like all the one's at my bomebrew store, and the Agata feels like sheet steel and aluminum that would snap in half if I got too...
