carb'd is not a concern for me, never really liked it as much. I guess when I was talking about keeping the yeast going, my main concern was to help with the ageing process. To allow the yeast to clean up after itself.

My system uses both. Each keggle has a tri-clover fitting which allows me to put in an element (elec) or a cap (gas). very little additional cost to an electric rig and you would still be able to use it on a burner. This way, you get the best of both worlds as both obviously have pros and cons.

I just checked out the home depot site, and this is only rated at 0.5psi.... Do you have any leaks running this at full blast?

I am kind of curious how much water you chilled... I'm not being skeptical just curious as the difernace between chilling 3 gal of boiling water versus 12 gal in 5 min is pretty big. I have just started thinking about chillers and this has caught my attention.
