I live right by Northern Brewer and have a gift card and get 15% off at the class I take....but, a free bucket at a bakery would be better. :tank:

Thanks. I also found this which seems to have some extra headspace that may help solve some of the issues. I'll reach out to some bakeries in the area and grab a donut while I'm at it.

Awesome, I shall look into that. Will a Home Depot bucket work? I don't want to mess up with the wrong bucket :p I was hoping to make this my last extract and try a biab type process next. So definitely learning some things here. My last batch did turn out fine (it was beer and was drinkable)...

Thanks guys. I followed the directions exactly, including only using half the yeast packet. I'm going to look into a larger primary this weekend when I'm at the store for a all grain class I'm taking.

Been gone a while. Haven't brewed a 1 gallon batch for a couple months (did a 5 gallon witha buddy) and usually I do the kits from Northern Brewer but looking to try a full grain (did one when I first started). I didn' thave the right equipment last time so it was a mess and wondering if anyone...

Guess I'd need to move it to the fridge though to keep it from overcarbonating then let it age? I probably will look into that. I am heading to Northern Brewer this weekend and need to pick up some things anyway so I'll probably ask about that. I've read up on the process and everything.

Here is my first try. Was the Everyday IPA from Brookly Brew Shop. It looks great, was perfectly carbonated, just wasn't super tasty. Was missing some of the hoppiness and citrus flavor I like in an IPA. It's definitely serviceable though so I'll take that as a success my first time around.

Brewing my 1 gallon kit from Northern Brew. I got another week on my first batch which was full grain from BBS. THis is much easier obviously. We'll see how it taste. My guess is good.

I was out there when the released Younger. It was good but I didn't get the hype. Much rather not wait in line and have a Surly Wet. Of course, that's just me, we are all entitled to our own opinion :)
