cornie keg cleaning ? - oxyclean ok?

after I oxyclean mine, I usually do a small solution of starsan. I like pressure testing with this because of its habit of foaming or bubbling. Also, after I put pressure on it, I'll depress the liquid post to force starsan through the dip tube just make sure everything gets nice and sanitized.

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Muad Dib Spice Ale

Bump for a good recipe. My buddy and I made this a two months back, and it turned out great. We modified the spice addition for powdered ingredients, but I feel it was comparable. The spice is certainly dominant, but it's tasty.

First time brewer fruit addition question

I've done a hefe with zest from 5 oranges and 5 lemons, and the citrus was still pretty subdued. However, make sure zest is zest, and not rhine, as mentioned previously. I usually add it at the end of the boil as well.

Carbonating Kegs + Too Much Foam

Not thread jack, but I had a similar problem with excess foam. I switched to 10 foot lines and that did the trick. However, the problem has come up again. One of my kegs dispenses almost all foam, and as soon as I pull the tap I can see bubbles forming in my line. The other line flows fine...

    Help On CO2 source

I don't know if this has much relevance, but when I get my co2 tank refilled they give me some kind of transportation documentation. I can't really remember what exactly it says, but I think it has something to do with private transportation of a compressed gas/liquid. I don't know if this...

Questions with Keg and Sanyo 4912

The beer doesn't seem to be overcarbonated to the taste, but I could be wrong. It only foams up like this when a glass is poured. Eventually it seems to "settle out". I'll try dropping the pressure and letting one of the kegs degass and see if that helps. Thanks

Questions with Keg and Sanyo 4912

yeah, that's what i guess i'm going to do. the faucet assembly comes apart so you can remove the lines. my concern is the re-assembly. i removed one of the faucets, but couldn't get any tools in to re-tighten the last nut, so I had to do the best i could with finger tight assembly.

Questions with Keg and Sanyo 4912

I just hopped on the forum to post the exact same problem. I just finished my sanyo kegerator, and I'm getting tons of foam. I'm using the two tap tower from micromatic. The beer lines are 3/16th and around 5 feet. I've tried all kinds of pressures and what not. I noticed that after I pour...

    Oatmeal stout recipe

I'm at work so I can't get my recipe for my oatmeal stout that I currently have kegged (which I think is awesome by the way). However, whatever recipe you go with, I would recommend roasting your oats. I think it really brings out the oat flavor and some subtle smokey/coffee like undertones...

Favorite Beer you buy to save the bottles?

Hobgoblin ftw. It seems like their bottles are twice as thick as ordinary brown bottles. Breckenridge 471 IPA bottles are sweet too. Awesome IPA, and no worries about getting the sticky label glue off since its all painted on.

Bayou Burner and Turkey Fryer Pot

haha, i have that exact same burner and pot (which I think is awesome btw) and I never knew anything about the minimum distance. But then again I never looked at the directions either... As a beginning brewer, I think the bayou burner set up is pretty sweet. It's exactly what I needed to get...
