Hello All,
I am going to finally take the plunge into AG. I recently built a house and had a Natural Gas hook up installed in the garage along with a GFCI outlet nearby. I need some advise on how to set up my brewing station. Here's what I currently have:
-20 gallon brew kettle with...
Hey All,
I'm going to be breaking ground on my new house in July. I'm looking for some advice. I have a decision to make - electric or natural gas. Obviously the cost of running pipes and fittings for natural gas or putting in 240V outlets is pretty nominal in the cost of building a home...
I recently made a batch of extract beer. I have details about the process and ingredients below, but my essential question is this: I have a green apple flavor in the beer and I know this is because it needed to be aged longer. I have already chilled it and carbonated it for about 8 days. Can...

I harvested yeast (wyeast 1056) from a batch of cream ale last week Friday. I plan to brew this marzen tomorrow but am not sure if I harvested enough yeast. OG should be about 1.060. Mr malty says I need 107 ml of yeast slurry. I think I have about 95 ml and am not sure of the quality. Should I...

I use carboys, so I can't simply stick a sanitized spoon in and pull a cup or two...
I am looking to brew a mocktoberfest on Tuesday. I had purchased an extract kit with Wyeast 1007 and made a yeast starter, but it didn't take (too warm sitting on my counter I think). I have a cream ale in the primary with Wyeast 1056 fermenting right now. Primary should be done by Tuesday...
