Are they only too long if you use the ulwd elements? Will the lwd elements fit? My ulwd elements are 13" in the pot but my lwd elements are still 12" in the pot.
If you're controls will let you I'd bet that you can use the high watt density element as long as you set your controls to not let it run over some % of full power. You will have to do that calculation. If the low watt density elements are twice as long (total length, folds &all) of the high...
Totally don't do any cleaning between brews. I just go to the next batch & hit it. I clean at the end but I'm also very much a "free spirit" brewer. I don't pay much attention to style & mainly do 13 gallon SMASH recipes that I make up on the spot. So if you are brewing a rather delicate style...
Like trainsafe said. The breaker is only there to protect the wire. It isn't suppose to protect the equipment you are using, that would be an overload device. The 20 amp circuit (20 amp breaker wire and outlet) is what your cooler needs. We never install 15 amp circuits in new or old homes...
I can fit four 6.5 gallon carboys in my freezer but I have started fermenting in kegs. If you are using buckets I can fit four tall skinny buckets but only two short fat ones, like the ones you get from Austin.
Check for moisture in the junction box covering the element wiring. Can you show a picture of how the control panel is wired? Also a picture of how the spa panel is wired? If not moisture then the next thing I think of is maybe your alarm wire from your pid. Is your alarm set to boil...
Good job catching the relay wiring. Its all easy to do wrong. The one wire in the wrong place is what tears up equipment and shocks people. What country are you in? Don't forget to double check the wiring in your cord cap.
