    Strong Bitter Common Room ESB

Hey guys, I brewed this for the second time a couple months ago. The first time I made this I used Warminster Floor Malted Maris Otter, some Flaked Oats, and 1968 London ESB yeast and it turned out great. This time, I used Golden Promise, added I think 8oz of Biscuit Malt, and used 1469 West...

    Strong Bitter Common Room ESB

Brewing this one again this weekend. First time I've done a repeat of a recipe, that's how much I liked the first batch. Last time I used Warminster Floor Malted Maris Otter, Flaked Oats, and 1968 yeast. This time I'm going to try Golden Promise, 4oz of Biscuit Malt, and 1469 yeast. Still have a...

    Show Us Your Label

Hey folks, back again with another. Tried to break free from some of my earlier designs and try something new. This label is for a Pliny the Elder clone, the name on this one is kind of an inside joke between a few friends on mine. Thought it turned out well enough to share with everyone though...

    Strong Bitter Common Room ESB

It looks dark in that picture, maybe because it was overcast when I took it, but it actually looks almost exactly like the KingBrianI's picture on the first page of this thread. Maybe a tad darker but the exact same color to it. Mine has an off-white head though. I used flaked oats, just some...

    Strong Bitter Common Room ESB

Drinking a few of these after bottle conditioning for 19 days right now. It's easily the best beer I've made. I'm a big ESB fan, and this one reminds me of my favorite one (Pikes Peak Beam Engine Bitter). Very rich malt character, really biscuity with a bit of stone fruit and a pleasant hop...

First time AG. So far so good.

Cool, keep us posted on how it goes! I just took a gravity reading and taste test of my first AG today, and it tastes amazing. Thought I messed up on a lot of things, kinda like the first extract batch I made. Good luck! What kind of beer are you making?

New post a picture of your pint

Here's a crappy cell phone picture of a (almost) pint of Paladin IPA. Pretty good carbonation after being in the bottle for only 10 days!

The beer that got you into beer

Stoudt's Double IPA. A pretty big shock to the taste buds at 10% ABV after having had only BMC and the such beforehand.
