    Mulch for around hop hills

You can use a non-dyed mulch, I know at work we sell natural mulches that are just straight wood without any chemicals.

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

What kind of hops could replace the crystal? I can't seem to find any locally.

    Brewing outside, at night...pitfalls?

Make sure you aren't too tired when you start, I have a bad habit of starting late and going into the early hours of the morning, and it really does get exhausting.

    No bubbles?

Thanks for the info. Weird thing is though my pumpkin ale did the same thing last week. I'm using 5 gal. plastic buckets and I can't figure out where the leak is.

50 gallons of Hard Cider in a barrel

$250, and the kit comes with the barrel, the cider, the air lock, the stopper, and a bung. I don't know if it's a good deal or not but I really don't care I just wanna have some fun with this :)

50 gallons of Hard Cider in a barrel

So I just finished talking with the local apple orchard in town, and I'm going to be buying a "package" they have for sale. It's a used 50 gallon whiskey barrel filled with fresh cider. Now comes the questions though..how do I ferment it using the wild yeasts already in it? How long will it...

    No bubbles?

So I just brewed Chris Night's Blonde Ale, my second time with this recipe. It went into the fermenter Saturday and I have yet to see a bubble in the airlock? I opened the lid to take a look inside and I see action going on. But no bubbles. Should I be worried?

    First AG problem..

RDWHAHB? Awesome, just a question though since I'm at work for the next day can I use a hose thats had gasoline through it as long as i clean it and star-san it or should I just wait another day and get a clean one?

    First AG problem..

So I brewed my first AG blond ale 2 days ago, the only problem I had was finding a fermenter big enough for it, I couldn't find any buckets so I used this food safe container that holds 6 gallons and I'm making 5.5 I probably should have waited and just gotten a bigger bucket but I rushed...

    Chris Knight's Blonde Ale

Cool vids man! I'd like to do this recipe as my first AG, but why do you use RO water and add so many things to it? Couldn't I just use bottled water and still get a good brew out of it? Doing all this to the water my first AG brew is just really confusing.

    Hello from CT!

I'm from Fairfield County, about an hour and a half from NYC. I've tried brewing an ale that I found the recipe for on instructables.com, needless to say it has never came out good at all. Is there anyone who can point me in the direction of a good easy beginner recipe? It'd be very much...
