    I scaled this down to a 2-gallon batch and followed the recipe exactly to make sure I liked it enough before committing to 5 gallons. It turned out great--the spice level's spot on--so I made more! So delicious and fresher than the pumpkin beers on store shelves in August!

    How many scoops of OXYclean to remove bottle labels?

    For me it's probably more like 4 gallons of water/1 scoop in a 5-gallon bucket so it doesn't overflow when I submerge the bottles.

    Sounds good. A longer soak would help remove any gunk that might be stuck inside the bottle, too!
