    Double sugar disaster

Just tho update the generous responders...i popped open a bottle after a week....good fizz...a bit sweet but held a decent head and it tastes like it'll be quite drinkable

    Double sugar disaster

Thanks for that..much appreciated. The temp strip says 20 on the brewing bucket. Guidelines are 18-22 so I think it's probably where it should be. I've added the hop bag and will rack to bottling bucket tomorrow or the nxt day. The airlock is giving its last few gasps. I really appreciate your...

    Double sugar disaster

so...the batch includes BOTH LME and Brewing sugar as I had no brew enhancer. The package identifies the yeast as m44US West Coast 10g. I was extremely hassled that day, and learned the lesson that even kit brewing requires a calm mood and some space. Thanks for any advice...I'm just wondering...

    Double sugar disaster

I haven't dry hopped. I usuually rack over to a bottling bucket and add them then...so that will provide some bitterness. I don't usually check the initial or final gravity for ABV...and I haven't done so in this batch. Is there any way to predict a ball park ABV?

    Double sugar disaster

Hi there In spite of having brewed w kits for many years... I made a rookie mistake. I have a bucket of Mangrove Jack's Australian Pale Ale on the go. It's been fermenting for 1o or 11 days and the airlock is still active. I just realised that I added double the sugar necessary. The packaging...

Young's New World Saison (forgot the sugar in primary)

I'm going to piggy back on this thread ...I've brewed a batch of young 's new world saison and bottled it. I realized a week later that i forgot the priming sugar. Will this beer remain flat forever or will it eventually develop some fizz if left long enough? I'm reluctant to start opening...

Young's New World Saison (forgot the sugar in primary)

This secondary is moving target slowly... Not a great level of activity in the airlock... gurgling intermittently but not very frequently. Once every 40-60 seconds. It's in a warm party of the house. Do I pitch another sachet of yeast?

Young's New World Saison (forgot the sugar in primary)

I was wondering about how racking it again might effect it. Thanks.

Young's New World Saison (forgot the sugar in primary)

Thanks everyone... That's what I've done. Boiled the sugar in water... Cooked it and it's more in the barrell.I'll keep you posted as to how it progresses. I'll probably track it over again before I dry hop... Just to get it off the trub once it finishes again.

Young's New World Saison (forgot the sugar in primary)

Hi there.. I've just completed a lively primary fermentation for a Young's new world saison which I've brewed before with great success. As I was racking it over to another barrel to dry hop...I realized I forgot to add the brewing sugar to the two bags of concentrate at the beginning of the...

    Mangrove Jack kit

Hi there... Someone gave me a box of mangrove Jack lord Finster bitter and in the box was just two pouches ... Nothing else. I have a pouch of ale yeast and some hop pellets. My question is this... Do I use both pouches for a 40 point batch? Do I need anything else?
