Thanks for the responses. I dug it up today. Unfortunately, there's a high probability it has pollinated my two other female plants. So, they'll end up with some seeds. They are both first year plants too so not too many flowers anyway.

I live in the Pacific North West on the coast. Our average temperature during the growing season ranges 65-70 degrees. Other than this year, it is mostly sunny with morning fog/clouds. What hops will do best in my climate that are decent producers?

How are your hops doing? Are the hops in Astoria or Eugene? I live in Florence and I planted this year, Cascade, Centennial and Nugget. The Cascade Rhizome was a jumbo and is over 20' tall, not bad for the first year. The Centennial and Nugget are 10'.
Using this method instead of a grain bag, is there the possibility of it adding more tannic flavoring due to the steeping grains not being confined in the grain bag?
