    Ok! Didn’t know that about the CO2, so thank you. Probably best just to adjust the recipe to three gallons. Thanks again.

    I have a 3.5 gal. bucket I want to use for primary on a traditional mead. The recipe I’m gonna use is for 5 gallons so I want to just halve it and only do 2.5 gallons. Will that amount of headspace be ok in primary since l’ll have that CO2 cap or should I not risk it and just bump up the recipe...
