    Cereal Killer mill roller question

So I'm concerned then that tightening the screws on the passive roller fixes not only the crush width but the rotation (not allowing it to rotate passively). Am I going to need to take it apart and bike lube it or something?

    Cereal Killer mill roller question

LHBS mill (which I've always used until now) has both rollers rotating to crush the grain. Got a new Cereal Killer for Xmas and indications on the web say that to adjust the width you loosen and tighten screws attached to one of the rollers. This appears to fix one roller, only allowing the...

Hoses/tubing. What's the best out there?

I need a 1/2" ID hose for my homemade immersion chiller and would like some extra for pulling wort out of my stainless 9-gallon MLT (a Bayou Classic with false bottom and weldless stainless ball valve). I don't care about saving money on some hoses because I only need 5-10 ft. and just want...

Random idea: hops in my stainless mesh tea ball?

Well I guess that's why I run these by here before trying it... :mug:

Random idea: hops in my stainless mesh tea ball?

I make tea with this thing all the time. It could probably hold at least an ounce of pellets. Might not leave much room for them to expand though. Any thoughts, or anyone tried anything like this?

    Moving to All Grain!

I'm down the stretch for AG too. Decided I just wanted all stainless touching my hot liquids, so I bought two 9-gallon Bayou Classics and will mash out of one with a weldless stainless ball valve and this false bottom: Made my own copper IC with a 20' coil from Home Depot. For now...

    Hello from Alaska

I've bought some of my equipment and 90% or more of my ingredients at a place in town called Gourmet Alaska. The rest is either online or I collect some things when I visit Michigan (where I grew up). I live walking distance from Alaskan Brewing Co. You walk in and they offer you free beer...

    Attention new all grain brewers!

I haven't done an all-grain yet but I'm planning to use a 9-gallon stainless with a false bottom for my MLT. I figure if my temp gets low, I may add a little heat gradually and pull some wort from the bottom and gently pour it back on top to distribute it. Any objections? :)

    Couple of autosiphon questions

Just dry hopped an IPA and having a few flashbacks of one of my previous batches when I didn't realize leaf hops would completely mess up my flow and aerate the whole bucket. This time I used pellets and will probably add a bag to the end of the siphon for good measure. I'm guessing this is...

    Hello from Alaska

Hi all, Been reading these threads every time I have a question that I type into Google. I've brewed probably 8 batches so far, so pretty new. Pretty much done collecting my all-grain equipment, so will be excited to start that in a few weeks. Thanks in advance for all the good...
