I was just given a corny from a friend. It has a hose attached to the gas post that runs to the bottom of the keg. Would having the CO2 entering the beer from the bottom up absorb faster? Has anyone here ever used this method.
Learned my biggest lesson to date. First batch to keg and I did not hang the cobra tap. I'm guessing that it depressed when I threw it in the cooler and closed the lid. Came back from work today with my Corny floating in 5 gallons of homebrew. Keg was dry as a bone. Made me sick.
Is there an issue with adding the entire volume of water at the beginning of the process, then steeping my grains, and adding my LME and hop additions instead of adding extra water after the boil.
I just brewed this yesterday with 2 vials of WLP004. OG was 1.062. MY fermentation chamber has been between 72 and 78 degrees since. I have excessive krausening. Is there an issue with fermentation temps this high?
