    yea, I just shoved them in there. My hands and the the carboy were clean and sanitized. W/ all the alcohol in there and the hops, the risk of infection wouldn't be too great.

    Hehe, yea I took the wiff in primary right before I racked. It was pretty funny actually, very surprising.

    Hi Guys, I brewed up an APA 7 days ago and transferred it to secondary today. I gave the beer a whiff, and man, my nostrils were burning from the alcohol or CO2. Is this normal? Part of me thinks I may have transferred a bit too early, there was still a bit of krausen, about an inch, and...

    I brewed an APA this weekend and forgot to add the Irish Moss. It's sitting in primary right now. Is there anyway to clear up the beer in secondary? I don't have the means to cold condition, so any other alternatives?

    You mentioned a piney flavor Janx. This leads me to believe that my first batch was infected. I still have a ton of bottles from that first batch, I was thinking it would age and taste better but it just doesn't taste good. Pine flavor is too much. Now my second batch on the other hand...

    Questions about partial-mash

    And I actually have a small 2 gallon igloo cooler I'll be using for the mash. This should keep the temps ok, right?
