I made this partial mash, and its so f-in good. BS told me it came to 2.7, so i'm going all grain and gonna boost it up a bit. think it'd be good with coffee in it? breakfast beer yknow? )
I've got enough to hold about 3 brews. I'm transferring over to all 22ozs. Save myself money on bottle caps and storage. I only delabelled the first batch, the rest have labels I just write on the bottle cap.
cool thanks. Yeah I wasn't too worried. It smells right and I know what I"m doing. haha! Just wondering if it was darker because of the darker grains etc. Beeeers.
hey, i got a side question:
the last two batches, my krausen has been lower it seems than the past 5 batches i've done. is this just different yeasts?
also the krausen has been browner this brew (but also a dark brew, i imagine this is typical?)

just brewed this guy up last night. our first all grain w/ a 7.5 gallon SS pot. did simple rinse sparging, and got the OG to 1.051, so our efficiency is good. cool!
its just forming its krausen now.
