I did a fairly high gravity(1.090 OG) on top of the yeast from an IPA (1.070 OG). The batch took off like gangbusters and now 60 hours later, it is at 1.014. Tastes really good but I was wondering if the fast ferment is going to cause any issues. TIA

Been working on my stir plate for a while and it is now completed. I do have to do some tweeking with fan heights and need some silicon orings for the ends of my stir bars. Picture on ebay showed smooth stir bars and the ones I got are hexagonal or octagonal and there is a ring in the center...

Pre-lunch time progress today. I fabbed the tilting bracket for the control box and mocked it up. As you can see, I am using removable pins to hold the control panel on the swing out arm.

I have been on vacation for the past ten days and have been away from home. I was able to get a few hours in today and partially install the swing out arm that my control panel will be mounted on. So here a some pics of todays progress!

I wish I could take credit for the burner mounts but that isn't my design. I got the idea from nickstek (sp) on another build page. I loved the design so I used btu dimensions and his idea.

No, not stainless. Just plain old mild steel. It's just not the black stuff. I was super pleased with the material, the cost, and the service at the supplier. 93 bucks for 44 feet. Great deal!
