Keezer fan and electrical question (pictures)

I have that freezer and I wired the fan. You can take out the buzzer and wire the fan where it used to be and it will work, however it will only turn on when the freezer is running. The wiring gets more complicated to have it run all the time.

I guarantee this recipe will get you a big bold thick stout. I have brewed it several times and it has taken a silver medal. I have also oaked this with bourbon soaked oak chips. Recipe Specifications -------------------------- Batch Size: 11.00 gal Boil Size: 13.25 gal Estimated OG...

Brewing with Citrus - Proven techniques

I too have had good luck with using just the zest of both oranges and lemons. Adding the zest from a couple oranges, or several lemons at flameout really makes for a nice citrusy flavor. I haven't tried dry zesting but have heard it works great for aroma. The zest of six lemons into an 8...

    DYI HERMS- Heating Element question

1500 will be fine. I had a 1500w in my HLT for about a year now. It will heat from ground temp, it just takes a few hours. I get up early and turn it on, then go back to bed.

    Breakfast Beer

Actually I didn't know that! I rarely eat cereal. I do know of some people in the club using different brands of cereal in their mash or secondary. Should be interesting! Any opinion on my recipe?

    Breakfast Beer

So our local club has a competition coming up on April 1st. The premise is breakfast beers. The stipulation is that at least 10% of the fermentables need to come from some sort of breakfast food. :drunk: My idea is to create an Oatmeal Cranberry Cream Ale. I'm not exactly sure how this...

    4th batch with phenolic hit

Well, I had a very similar problem to what you are describing. After eliminating everything under the sun, I narrowed it down to US-05 yeast. Since I have stopped using it, I no longer get any phenolics in my beer. It might be worth a shot.

    Got an off flavor

OK so I know this goes against some people's opinions on here but I feel I should post my results. Nothing that I did to the water (carbon filter, boiling or resting, Camden tablets, or all of the above) removed the off flavor which I am very sure was a phenolic off flavor. It was always...
