Thanks maxam....the brass is what I'm trying to avoid as I've heard that box store brass parts are chinese made and thus contain higher levels of lead. Are their decent alternatives that you know of for the brass parts?

I've got a standard 40quart rectangular cooler. I've looked around at diy ideas to turn it into a mashtun but upon reading the reviews, it seems that 1 or many of the parts are not foodsafe and could leach out heavy metals. What do you guys use?

So I should leave the coriander and orange peel in during the whole fermentation period(2-4 weeks)?

I made a witbier over the weekend. Am I supposed to strain the coriander and orange peel out before I put it in the fermentation bucket or before I autosiphon out into bottling bucket?

Newbie here.....haven't read through the 40 plus pages here Would it be possible to store the yeast in used 12oz soft drink bottles? Would dunking them in starsan be enough sanitation?

How many folks here do that and can you show pictures of your blow off tubes, etc?
