    PID wiring question

Thanks for the info.... I hadn't a freaking clue and the diagram isn't entirely understandable.

    PID wiring question

I have a Sestos D1S-VR PID. My thermocouples are K-type, and my question is simply....do the two thermocouple wires got to terminals 3 and 4? Does it matter which wire goes where? The wife wants this off the dining room table tonight because she's having a baby shower here Saturday. Messed up...

Thought I could do it, but need your help

What about using a small freezer and putting rv antifreeze in your water? You'd have a greater temp differential then. Also, if you don't want the antifreeze solution around your kegs (rv antifreeze is non-toxic though) you could have a large container of that in the freezer with a copper coil...

    Fail.

Yep...but I was distracted at that moment by the uh, uh, marching band...yeah, that's it, marching band...passing through the room at just that moment and didn't catch all the smoke. I thought I might have, but my wife was across the room and mentioned she could smell smoke, so I knew some had...

It's a TLC555. Going to get a different one this time, but still a 555. Do you have a link to the schematic you used? Maybe I would try that route.

If you could have any object turned into a tap handle, what would it be?

I logged on because I was thinking yesterday that all these old fishing rods I have from my bass tournament days must have a use, and that lead to wondering if anyone had ever used the handle as a tap handle. Didn't see one here, but did get to read one long and entertaining thread. I have it...

    Fail.

Well, my first attempt at making my PWM resulted in releasing the magic smoke from the IC. We all know that once the smoke is out it's all over so it'll be off to RS from another one tomorrow for attempt number two.

    PWM..Show us How

I need some help with that circuitbee.com schematic... there seems to be a wire from the 12+, through the IC to the GRD....really? I have the parts and want to put this thing together and in the control box, but I don't care to make many mistakes doing it.

    Copycat Keezer

Very nice looking. Wish I could "copy" that well! :)

    PWM..Show us How

I've been reading this entire thread and am about ready to jump in the car and go buy the parts necessary to build one of these too, but have been hoping that somewhere in the thread someone would post detailed pictures of a completed unit, so I join runningweird in the request for these pics...

Has anyone seen one of these?

If he's offering them for free, what have you to lose trying them?

Juat when you thought they'd all been answered, another wiring question.

Because I bought it for $6 on ebay about 2 or 3 years ago....it's a March hi-temp, magnetic drive. If I could afford it I might have decided to just buy a new "regular" pump though..

Juat when you thought they'd all been answered, another wiring question.

Sorry, but I didn't really find my answer with a search,in fact, I now have a new question. The wires to my three prong dryer outlets for my elements should be HOT, HOT and Ground? Not HOT, HOT and Neutral? Same for my 220V pump? And for all 3 I break one of the HOTs with my SSR? Ok, so I...

What's your occupation: Engineer or Non-Engineer

Does it count if I'm not an engineer but I have a son who is? He got his EE in 1995. Me? Truck driver.
