    For the electricians...

personally, i'd go with the pigtail/spa panel idea for the aforementioned liability reasons plus the possibility of nuisance tripping with your stove. if i were a landlord and i had a tenant messing with the electric panel without permission, i'd be pissed

How to Remove galvanized coating from kegs.

they look pretty beat up so it's probably stainless, just not polished. there might be some indication on the inside top skirt of the keg. something like 304(most likely) or 316

Why sanitary welds on keggles, etc?

did you try removing the solar flux after you welded it? i've read that stuff is a bear to get off

Why sanitary welds on keggles, etc?

sugared welds are going to be more likely to rust/corrode, plus they look like garbage. imo, if you're not gonna take the extra minute or two to back purge, might as well just stick/mig it

    70 qt maxcold cube

i use one for a mash tun. i put a ball valve on it with a nipple going through the existing hole and use a cpvc female adapter with a street 90 to connect it to the manifold

North Penn Water Authority (Montgomery Co., PA) Water Report

    electric heating element rust prevention

was this a new element or one that you cleaned the rust off of? if there was any rust left maybe it still will spread

    electric heating element rust prevention

gotcha. i wasn't sure if there would be any negative impact on water chemistry or not, but if it's hardly decaying i can't imagine it's that bad

    electric heating element rust prevention

i understand about the aluminium kettles, but being that it's used as a sacrificial anode, doesn't that pretty much guarantee that it's ending up in the beer? does your aluminium corrode or need to be replaced?

What should I do with non-threaded ball valves?

if you can't get your money back, maybe try silver soldering a piece of copper pipe with a fitting to one of the valves.

Any Philly LHBS with stainless fittings?

you could give keystone homebrew a call. i'm not sure if they have all that stuff, but i know they have couplings. you could try c.l. weber (plumbing supply) on 309 in montgomeryville, i know they have a sign out front that says stainless fittings and sanitary fittings. other than that mcmaster...
