Don't forget every freaking time someone gets a petition circulating, everyone signs it and it goes nowhere. Ohh well. At least I have a job requiring travel. :D

Hole Saw Set...OK for keggle drill?

I drill stainless quite often for my job. ... I tried bi metal hole saws. They work but be darn sure to get something good to cool it while you drill. If you can find it. Tapmatic is great stuff. BUT IMHO - get a step bit and still use the tapmatic cutting fluid. Step bits are much better and...

    Cleaning help

I had to make a blowoff tube for my cream ale as it went ape fermenting. It filled up two airlocks, so I used my racking cane tubing and in about 3 gal of star san. Well, it's been a week and a half and I put the airlock back on as it has settled down. I still have yeast nasties in the tube...

    Apfelwein questions...yeast, carbonation?

Here is something not listed. Why not just back sweeten with wine conditioner? It doesn't ferment.

    Darn o-rings

I did the exact same thing with my first batch. It was fine. Sanitizer is good stuff and I'm sure it's ok.

A little help please... - (with conditioning time)

Sounds like either way, I should hurry up and wait about 2 weeeks or so and give it another try. Thanks for all the help as usual. I am bottling one great batch of Eds cider and will start another cream ale prob. this weekend. It is amazing how good beer doesn't last long.

Nottingham ale yeast to be exact. I'm pretty sure it was the fermentation temp that did it.

I wish I could say. I just checked the box and the website and it just says yeast. The local lbs is closed otherwise I could call and ask. Which I will probably do tomorrow. I want to say it was muntons.

A little help please... - (with conditioning time)

I just finished a brewers best kit, as dos equis clone. Followed instructions etc. Bottled and let it sit in the closet for a month. I think Brewers best may have screwed up. Instead of a dos equis clone it tastes like a boulevard clone. Wheat beer with a twist of lemon to be exact. WTF? I am...

Floaters in some of my bottles?

Don't feel bad. I have a dos equis clone that has crap floating in it after 3 weeks in the bottle. I just put one in the fridge to test and see if it is anywhere close and if the crap will settle.

Paging Ed Wort... one more question please

So far it seems to be a mixed bag. I think that the best thing so far with this method is to not add yeast but add 3/4 cup dextrose and leave it alone for the long haul carb and taste. My only concern is clarity and not having bottle bombs. :drunk:

Paging Ed Wort... one more question please

No prob on the wait. It's just now clearing. BTW - how much yeast - another pack?
