I just had a beer in lewiston Idaho that tasted like bacon. It was crazy. Started with a smoke flavor but ended like you were chewing on a piece of bacon

I took 4 vanilla beans cut length wise, scraped them then added to 2 cups of makers and let sit for 4 weeks. I strained and tossed the liquid into the secondary. The flavor was awesome with a hint of smokeyness from the makers. I haven't tried vodka but I'm a bourbon fan myself

I'm trying to figure out a recipe for a bacon blonde. But I'm having trouble with how to add the bacon? I don't want the grease in my beer but I don't want to use fake bacon. Any ideas?!

I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between light lme and gold lme? I'm doing an ipa and the recipe calls for light lme but I was curious to see if gold lme would work for it? Any thoughts?

I had that problem as well and I used the tube just like you explained. I also switched over to a airlock when initial fermentation stopped. Worked fine for me, but of course sanitize sanitize sanitize!

I'm looking at brewing my first ipa. I live in the Northwest so I only find it fitting to make a northwest ipa. Does anyone know a good kit or recipe I should use?!

I'm not going to lie I like the idea you're doing with the vanilla beans, do you think it would turn out with out if I also add oak to the secondary? What's your thoughts
