    Double IPA Trillium Vicinity Clone

For anyone interested this is what I ended up doing. I substituted Vic Secret for Galaxy mainly because thats what I had on hand. If I brewed again I was stick to just Citra and Galaxy dry hop. Recipe Type: All Grain Yeast: Wyeast 1318 London Ale III Yeast Starter: 2 Liter Batch Size (Gallons)...

    Double IPA Trillium Vicinity Clone

Really happy how this turned out. I ended up dry hopping with Vic Secret, Citra and Galaxy hops for 5 days. I was trying to use up some old hops I had in the freezer so not exactly Pier but its very tasty. This recipe seems pretty flexible so I cant wait to tweak it again.

What sort of gap are you using? I set mine to 0.032 since I heard that is good starting place for finer crush.

    Double IPA Trillium Vicinity Clone

I took this recipe and tweaked it to be more like Pier. I used the notes on the website for what hops to use and added the wheat to about 30% the mash bill. Also added some flaked wheat. This will be the first time I've done a Columbus only hop schedule for boil\whirlpool and then DH the other...

Weissbier Bee Cave Brewery Bavarian Hefeweizen

I brewed this again on Saturday. I purchased a different grain mill that allowed me to grind the grain a lot finer. I BIAB so it I dont have to worry about stuck sparges. With the finer crush my SG was right on target like my normal non-wheat beers. Was really happy that resolved my low SG issue...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Brewed this for Christmas so the non IPA drinkers could have something to enjoy during the holidays. It was a big hit. Even the BMC drinkers thought it was great so mission accomplished in my book.

American Wheat Beer Mosaic Honey Wheat

Couple things that I can think of: 1)If you are targeting a specific IBU you'll need to adjust your AA% of the hops you are using. Each batch is going to vary so thats one way to get it in the ball park. You can change the hop AA% on your hops for a specific recipe as needed. 2)The other is...

American IPA Trilium Melcher Street Clone

Bet thats what it was. I've had that happen to me when I was relieving the pressure as it transferred and forgot as I was messing with something else. If you dont let out the pressure or just leave it unscrewed it wont flow.

American IPA Trilium Melcher Street Clone

Beer looks good. I recently got the clear beer system for my kegs and they have worked out nice. I also got the mesh with them so I could do a second dry hop in the keg and not have to worry about bags or hoppers. For the closed transfers you really only need a few psi to get things moving so...

American IPA Trilium Melcher Street Clone

Sounds like you are going through what we all did when we started brewing this style of IPA. Ive heard mixed results with the fishing line not allowing the keg to seal. I think floss works better but I cant say for sure as I've never tried it. I'd look at it as an experiment to see how you like...

    Blonde Ale Murican Blonde Ale

I don't see an issue with adding water if you are looking to lower the OG. Brewersfriends has a dilution calculator you can plug the numbers into to get it where you want.

Weissbier Bee Cave Brewery Bavarian Hefeweizen

Was able to taste the batch I made this weekend. I did pick up a little residual sweetness that I'm guessing came through having to use the DME to bump up the gravity. Still was super tasty. I had a lot of people compliment me on the NEIPA I also did but the hefe keg kicked first. Guess that...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Wanted to thank Braufessor for the recipe. Brewed this for a buddies family party that was this weekend and it was a hit. Lots of compliments on the aroma. I definitely will try brewing it again using the suggested hops but the substitutions of simcoe and nugget turned out nice.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Finally got around to trying this recipe. I'm a sucker for this style lately. Followed Braufessor's latest take on it. Everything was going smoothly until I realized I was out of warrior and mosaic! I subbed out the warrior for apollo but I was sort of stuck with the mosaic missing. I took a...

Weissbier Bee Cave Brewery Bavarian Hefeweizen

Had fun brewing this yesterday and now have a new thing to figure out. I mill my own grain and never have had a problem with efficiency however for this one my mash gravity was low. I ended up adding some light dme I had on hand to bump it up. Ended up with an OG of 1.050 so should end up being...
