    Seattle

Wherever he goes, he'd probably really enjoy Boundary Bay IPA. Excellent stuff.

    Wet shaving thread.

This is a great thread. I was going through plastic disposables like crazy. Then I read some posts here and wound up with an Edwin Jagger DE, a badger hair brush, Derby blades and some Taylor of Old Bond Street soap. It'll take me about a year to break even with the disposables, but after 5 days...

It's official, I'm having heart surgery on Feb 18th...wow, it's real now.

Revvy, you'll have to work hard for quite a while but you're going to improve. It just takes a while for muscles (including the heart) to strengthen, for blood vessels to sprout, and for your body to become more efficient at extracting and using oxygen. Keep at it, OK?

Revvy, they won't think you're healthy enough for discharge until you start hitting on the nurses. :D Glad you made it through everything.

    What are you drinking now?

Now drinking one of my no-recipe porter-type beers. Very pleasant.

What all did they do at the screening? Imaging? Blood tests?

    IPA Night!

Have to second this. Just superb, had it in Seattle, it made us spend half a day looking for bottled BB IPA to take back (never found any, was told it was kegs only).

Be honest. How often do you do this?

Innocent here, and living proof that ignorance is bliss. I simply don't know enough to argue with others like that. :D

Bands you should like, but don't.

Never could figure out Nirvana. To this day I still think Poison said it best, working hard and appreciating some down time. From what I heard on the radio Nirvana was extremely excellent from a technical point of view, but I just couldn't get into that kind of whining after working myself to...

What is the "worst" beer you like? Your guilty pleasure, if you will...

For me, BMC is either Miller High Life or Stroh's. I see them as refreshing beverages, and they don't disappoint. No thinking, no evaluating, just enjoying and moving on. For some reason, Bud, Genessee and a few others leave me with headaches. Anyone know if they use different additives /...

Where do you get your gear??

I've ordered mainly from Midwest Supplies and have to vouch for their customer service. Recently they sent me a bunch of stuff, including 2 cases of swing-top bottles. 2 bottles were broken. I e-mailed them just asking for them to maybe pack things a bit more tightly next time, specifically...

Which kind of abuse is this?

So far, the magnet / horseshoe hypothesis makes the most sense to me.

Which kind of abuse is this?

I know this is probably stupid, but many of his movements (especially hand and head) suggest to me that he's not drunk. Especially the fall toward the end, where he kept his head from slamming into the sidewalk.

How much headspace neccesary in primary?

Over here this weekend, even a gallon headspace wasn't enough (Nottingham yeast, normal brew with just too much water added somehow), clogging even with the airlock removed. I'd play it safe, even if you're a little short volumewise.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Mutated porter-type thing last evening, mutated pale ale-type thing today. Will read Revvy's "Don't dump your beer" threads every day for the next few months...
