Saturday first AG brew equipment question

Do you have an electric kettle? I fill mine and turn it on about the same time I strike for the mash. When it boils, I dump it in and let it sit with the lid on until I'm ready to go. Works well for me.

    Kegerator/Keezer (NY/NJ/MA/CT/RI/VT/NH)

Looking to buy a kegerator or keezer in New England. I'm located in New London, CT and would probably be willing to drive 2-3 hours for the right deal. Ideally, I'd like one that has three taps but would take more or maybe two taps. If you have one that you are looking to move, please send me...

American Pale Ale Citra Pale Ale- Oddsides Clone

Am I reading the recipe right that there are no 60 minute hops additions? I was trying to follow along with the changes and I'm getting confused now. I'm going to the LHBS to buy the ingredients today so hopefully someone can help me out!

    CT Brewers Check-In

Pretty new brewer here -- I did my first extract kit in November, and I've made 4 All Grain batches since. This hobby is addicting! I'm in New London, by the way.

It's Saturday Brewday - Watchya Makin?

Up early this morning to pasteurize a batch of backsweetened draft cider. Then I have all-grain batch #2 today -- EdWort's Haus Pale Ale, and #3 tomorrow: AHS Sweet Stout. I'm a little nervous because I've had a helper the previous times I have brewed. I'm just worried about the tubing...

    My First Hard Cider

Are you doing a sweet draft-style cider or something dry? I've had really good luck with the Earth's Pride 85% Macintosh Juice from BJs...its 100% juice (not from concentrate) and it's less than $5 a gallon.

    Oak aging?

My wife likes the Winter Woodchuck Cider that is aged with oak, and I think I want to try that. I was planning on starting with a pretty standard cider recipe (5.5 gallons of Cider, 2 lbs dextrose, nottingham yeast, and backsweetening at bottling time using frozen concentrate)... I was...
