I got a pale ale extract kit as a present for christmas. Finally have a chance to brew this weekend. Looking for modify it somehow. I was to play around with lemon zest or some spices. Looking for some suggestions to make this a nice new beer
Just got 2 more sanke kegs for my fermenters. Sanke's are in very good condition and after removing the post i dont see any beerstone or sediment at the bottom. I am going to soak the kegs with some disinfectint just to make sure. Thanks for the head up

Ironicly, i was just ordering supplies for a porter with oak and burbon. Either oak aged burbon porter or oak aged vanilla porter, not sure about the vanilla yet. I just did an oak aged american wheat with merlot grapes. Its in the seconday now but looks like its going to turn out good. How...
thanks for the help. I'll wait and bottle it and let it cold condition. Its a clone of Ithaca Brewing Company's Cascazilla if anyone cares to know. A "monstrously hoppy red ale"
Blacklab's question brought up one i have been trying to figure out. If i cold condition my beer will it have any effect on the yeast. I bottle condition and wanted to make sure that conditioning in the frige wont affect the live yeast.
Primary is done. I got them at the local wine shop. No local home brew store! I checked the secondary this morning before work and everything looked good. But it was only about 12 hours since i put them in there.
