    Is my Saison fully attenuated?

It's at 86F now. I'll keep inching it up to mid 90's and in a week or so I'll see what happens. Cucumber mint sounds good! Friend of mine suggested some hot peppers to balance out the cucumbers.

    Is my Saison fully attenuated?

I brewed a Saison a week ago on Sunday the 19th. It was pretty beefy at OG1.071 I did 10 gallons and started in the lower 70's for 3 days, then raised it 1 degree Celsius each day. It's in the higher 80's now. It tastes great with a lot of great Belgiany esters. :mug: One fermeter's at...

    DIY Beer Line Cleaner

Because A) someone always has a good answer on these threads, B) I like having the option of reusing things for other purposes without damaging them, and C) I'm anal and I like when things just work, is there an adapter that fits onto the black threads on the 56HD sprayer properly with 1/4 male...

    heat stick...short?

Thanks for the replies guys. I actually did take my multimeter and stick the probes in a blob of the stuff while wet and it wasn't conductive, so does that mean it's not that stuff causing the GFCI to trip? Also, I only used the Qualco stuff on the inside of the pipe to seal the terminals on...

    heat stick...short?

Guys, I made a heat stick following these directions which worked once, then leaked water so I had to undo it, reseal it, and close it back up again. This time I used this stuff to seal the terminals inside because I had it laying around. I completely encased the terminals, let it set-up (not...

    MLT manifold question

I'm going to build a copper manifold for my MLT and I had a question regarding what palmer says about the design. He says: "The transverse tubes in the rectangular tun should not be slotted to prevent channeling. The longitudinal slotted tubes adequately cover the floor area without the...

    How to increase my efficiency

Thought I'd report back. I've done a couple batches and I've been hitting my numbers consistantly now. I checked all my thermometers, like 5 or 6, digital and analog, and they were all off a degree or two from each other. The main change was I now stir like a bastard for a while before I...

hose for 1/2" bard to 3/8" soft copper?

Looking for some suggestions here. I made a CFC following the directions from this site found here I have a 1/2" barb on my keggle and the CFC has 3/8" copper. Not sure how to connect the two together. I know I could use a hose clamp on the CFC and replace the 1/2 in bard with a 3/8" one, but...

"Beer Machine" mix with traditional equip?

I have a bag of beer "mix" from my "Beer machine" that I'd like to make with my typical beer equipment. You would simply add the mix to water in the beer machine, pitch the yeast, and that's it, but I'm wondering if I should do a boil with it before i put it in the fermentation bucket. It's...

    Bad Brew Days!

actually this past Sunday I brewed a 10gal batch of double IPA and had more trouble than any other batch so far. First, I was filling up my 6 gal kettle with water from my fridge since it's filtered. I attach a small hose to the output of my fridge since it's filtered. I keep the botton...

    How to increase my efficiency

Thanks for the posts guys. The first thing I'm going to try is running my grist through the mill twice. I'll report back here next time I brew, probably in a couple weeks.
