Best way to measure total emitted weight of fermentation CO2?

Well, i got them for $20 each on eBay, so it was economical for me anyway. :)

Best way to measure total emitted weight of fermentation CO2?

I have a couple of these mass flowmeters: Economical Gas Mass Flow Meters for Clean Gases with Optional Display I just got BruControl set up and it was the first thing i hooked up, I've had these flowmeters for probably 10 years and had never used them. I had bought them for this specific...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Is there a place I can access the data recorded from the Devices?

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

It sounds like you need a fully sealed enclosure not new electronics. You can also get mini dehumidifiers for electronics enclosures, but they are way more expensive than sealing everything up.

    what creates award winning beer

Lots of long time brewers don't use hydrometers. If you trust your process you don't really need it. I use a hydrometer and refractometer on every batch. Plus a pH meter, datalogger for fermentation, gram scales, etc. Of course, I'm not a homebrewer. I'm a beer engineer. ;)

    Official Broken Hydrometer Count

2102. My 4th hydrometer lasted over 11 years (the post above was almost exactly 6 years ago and I had already had that hydrometer over 5 years). It broke about two months ago when the top slipped through my fingers as I was removing it from the tube. It gently *tinked* against the inside of...

Why is commercial beer getting more expensive?

Beer is moving upscale. Prices will continue to increase like this for a long time. Even mediocre wine is $10 a bottle with regular prices in the $15-$30 range for nothing special. This is where beer is going. I'd wager good money on $25 six packs of 'typical' beers within ~10 years. I also...

    What Exactly Is Happening Here?

I wouldn't rule out that it's all in your head. Do some tasting with friends and fellow judges. See what they have to say. The fact that it's not there prior to carbing then presents itself in the keg and remains after a long period, but goes away when bottled is an odd symptom. I guess...

Ballast Point now in the bag...

I would expect that from BBC, if anyone. Private companies (like SNBC) don't have nearly the incentive to make acquisitions. Once you're public and the shareholders start demanding more revenue, more profit, less risk. It then gets difficult to grow organically (higher risk, long gestation...

Would you buy beer in smaller cans?

Yeah, I can't drink a bomber of 9% beer unless I'm going on a bender, which happens about twice a years nowadays. I haven't bought a bomber of anything in a long time. I'd rather pay $4 for a 7oz. beer than $10 for 22oz. Yeah, per ounce is more expensive, but I'm just simply not going to...

Ballast Point now in the bag...

Same here. The grocery stores carry a lot of local beers. Sure there's more BBC and SNBC than the little guys, but there are plenty of little guys.

    An old one sitting around.

I don't understand the question. Why don't you force carb it and drink it? Are you saying it didn't ferment out completely? It's not surprising that it's heavy, there's a buttload of crystal malts in there. If you don't want to drink as-is, I'd work on brewing a lighter bodied beer to blend...

Ballast Point now in the bag...

My local sells 4-5 types of BP; Sculpin, GF Sculpin, Even Keel, Grunion, and one other. All $14.69/6. This is one of the lower priced shops in my area, I'm guessing it's priced higher at the higher traffic bottle shops. I don't think anything else is more than $12.99/6, outside of some high...

bigger bottle take more time to carbonate?

That's because in a keg the all of the CO2 is entering through the surface of the liquid and must diffuse into the beer from top to bottom and there's nearly double the amount of liquid to carbonate through the same surface area. In the case of bottle carbonation the CO2 is being generated...

Boston Beer Co is traded publicly. They have market cap of ~$2.8 Billion. That should give you a rough idea of what SNBC and New Belgium are worth.
