My buddy brewed a Resin Clone and got props from Sixpoint

Was reminded of this thread last night watching the Sixpoint Hi-Res release. Dan Reeve was part of the tasting crew. Pretty cool to get included in something like that. Shane seems like a chill guy too. Can't wait to give hi-res a try. He avoids giving any details of the recipe but mentions...

Note to self-don't store fireworks in the oven

Yeah, I was just being lazy given the small volume since it's not even enough to dry hop within most beers. At least I used the first batch in a rye PA that's carbing as we speak. It's so hard waiting all summer for these little guys to then have them obliterated. I'm debating using them in...

Note to self-don't store fireworks in the oven

OK, so maybe not fireworks, but my drying hops on cookie sheet. Very sad times today. My first year cascades put out about 8-9 oz wet. My second harvest of 4 oz was drying on a cookie sheet over night. I figured they'd be safe in the oven where i had warmed them to about 100 degrees last night...

    House IPA recipe thoughts

I have, but I'm not sure if it's what I'm after. It's almost too citrusy. I did a citra/sorachi ace saison this year that was fantastic and smelled like grapefruit. Definitely doing that again next spring. I think when I say I'm looking for a citrus aroma, I think I mean something a bit more...

    House IPA recipe thoughts

So, I've done 1/2 a dozen different extract IPA recipes now and only one even came close to what I was after. It was a GreenFlash WC IPA clone. I'm looking for something with a decent amount of, but not over the top bitterness, but with a strong enveloping hop flavor and aroma. A resinous...

Is that a funnel cake in my carboy!?!

This past weekend I racked my GreenFlash IPA into my carboy to clear and to dry hop after 3 weeks in the primary. It now has a couple ounces of hops in there, but even stranger is the bizarre creature growing up from the bottom. I've never seen anything like this. It has parts at least 4 inches...

    Midwest Supplies

My Amex was also hit this past Sunday. Mostly online sites, Hulu, GameStop, etc. I ordered for the first time from MW on May 30th this year. Seems like the same attack regardless of whether it was from a MW breach or not. I can't say it's directly connected, but the timing of my card being hit...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Green Flash West Coast IPA.... Crazy hop schedule that I'm bound to alter as I go, but not on purpose.

    Operation: Sixpoint Resin

Any word yet on how this came out? Or still conditioning? Thinking about a resin clone for my next brew session next weekend.
