I'm looking to make a beer for the warmer weather coming up. I was thinking something along the lines of New Belgium Shift. The problem is I can't find a clone recipe anywhere online.
Does anyone have a clone recipe for Shift or a recipe for something along the same line?
I'm going to give dry hopping a go for my next batch and have a few questions.
1. The recipe says "dry hop Centennial hops 7 days." Does that mean add at seven days or leave for seven days?
2. When you dry hop with pellet hops what do you do about sanitizing them before dumping in the...
Just as an update, I google searched for a while and called basically everyone I could find that fills. The minimum for 10 lbs is $30. Everyone else was within $5.
Air Gas and Machine and Welding only exchange tanks of 5 and 20 lb. Since I have a 10 lb tank this doesn't help much.
I tried this in the regional boards but only recieved three views so I'm going to give it a shot in the higher traffic area.
Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get 10 lb CO2 tanks filled in the Raleigh area? So far I've found $30 and up for 10 lb filling. I've also tried...
Does anyone know the best place to get 10 lb CO2 tanks filled in the Raleigh area?

I'm considering buying a conical fermentor and using a heat stick to boil in the fermentor so I don't have to worry with any transfers. What I would like to know is if I go with regular fittings instead of tri clamps will they get hot enough to kill the nasties? Obviously everything would be...
I'm brewing an all grain Fat Tire clone today and can't find any info on carb levels. What is the recommended carb level for this beer?
Also does anyone have any good references for beer style carb levels? I've heard their included in beersmith but I can't find anything.
Thanks for the help.
I've brewed a Belgian Golden Strong Ale a few months ago and I'm ready to bottle it. The recommended carb level for the recipe was 4 volumes.
I'm currently using Sierra Nevada bottles to put all my beer in. I've only carbed up to about 2.5 volumes in these bottles. Will they hold the...
