So I'm thinking of ordering several pounds of hop pellets in bulk and was wondering just how much space 1 pound will take up? Limited freezer space and all that needs to be considered. I've searched around a bit and can't find any information on it. .
Anyone have any experience cleaning/prepping a brand new item like this for first use? Should I wash it out with anything out of the ordinary? I was thinking oxyclean first then star san sanitizer before first use.
I think I'm with you on the better bottles. Someone gave me one the other day and I've been looking at it because currently I have to lower full carboys in to a chest freezer then lift them out later. I just have this visual of getting shrapnel like you did.
