    Mini Keg Oxidation / Storage

Thank you for the replies. In looking through old threads, it seems that my beer will either be fine for 10 years or burst into flames on day 2. What if I just rack to the kegs (I guess this applies to all kegs, mini or not), carefully and leave very little headspace. Then store without any...

    Mini Keg Oxidation / Storage

My current setup includes the typical 5 gal bath and 5, 1 gallon mini kegs. I only have the one tap / carbonation setup (using 16g co2 cartridges), while the other 4 have just the metal cap for sealing. So, my concern is what to do when I rack the 5 gallons. Keg 1, I'd go ahead and force carb...

    Can I re-seal secondary?

I was gifted a neat mini-keg with a 1 gal capacity. I've only ever bottle conditioned my beer in the past. I currently have a nice lager that's nearly ready to bottle. Is there any issue in siphoning off 1 gal for the keg and resealing my carboy? Hypothetically, doing this 5 times as the mini...

    South Korean brew.

Oh, and here is a picture of my improvised grain bag. It's two laundry bags for delicates (it has a thicker, finer mesh than the others). I was very pleased with how they worked and at 2 bucks a piece, they were a bargain.

    South Korean brew.

It said IPA on the bag. But seemed a little low on hops to be an IPA. Anyways, something in the pale ale family. It'll be fun the try it not knowing exactly what it is going to be.

    South Korean brew.

Thank you for your help. I just finished up. As far as I can tell, everything went well. It may not have been perfect, but I'll certainly end up with beer. While it ferments I'll see if I can find a few basic things that would be helpful when I do it again. As to why I'm here. I am...

    South Korean brew.

The spigot is metal. I found some laundry bags that are perfect for the purpose of a grain bag and the local Lotte Mart. So, I'm boiling the bags now to make sure they'll hold up and to clean them. And yes, my plan was to use the kettle as my fermenter. It locks on and seals nicely. I have...

    South Korean brew.

So, I haven't had a brew day in about a year. I have been living in South Korea and left all of my equipment stateside. I came home the other day and my girlfriend had a nice surprise or me. So, I've never done an all grain brew. Looks to be around 12 to 15lbs of grain...

    Why oh why

Could be worse. My name is Jeb. 90% of my introductions go like this. Me: "Hello, my name is Jeb." Other person: "Nice to meet you John or Jeff or Jed or Jake or Ted or Red." Me: J-E-B. Them: Ohhhh, Jeb. What a neat name..."
