Mine all got pretty hammered in the heat but then came back during the monsoons. I actually got pretty decent growth considering they were first year.

Growth is going good. All 4 pots have taken off rather well. It's already been over 100 degrees and they're still doing good.

At about a week and a half in, all four hops broke ground. Here's the progress at 3 weeks.

I live in Las Vegas which is notorious for having garbage soil so I thought I'd give this a try. Just planted 2 Cascades and 2 Centennials. 21 gallon planters with organic potting soil. 1 rhizome in each. Drippers should be installed soon. I'll keep updating with the progress.

Get some of the wire with the rubber/plastic sheath on it. That might work better.

Northern Brewer and places like www.freshops.com have hop rhizomes in stock and ready to ship right now. Tis the season!

Just ordered the NB Raspberry Wheat AG Kit. Gonna brew that up next weekend but use real raspberries instead of the extract. Should be tasty... Anyone else used this kit?

Just ordered some rhizomes from Northern Brewer. Got 2 Cascades and 2 Centennials. I plan on starting them in 5 gallon buckets with drippers on each one. One rhizome/dripper per bucket. If all goes as planned, they should be planted by this weekend.

By the way LoloMT7... I'm originally from Missoula as well!

I'm gonna go for it. Maybe this weekend. I like the idea of throwing them in the secondary as opposed to the primary so I'll probably do that. Fingers crossed I get some rad berries.

Was considering adding some raspberries or cherries to the primary on this recipe for a holiday beer. Anyone have experience with that or any thoughts/suggestions?

Excellent ideas! Especially the Spiced Winter. I was considering spicing up my Saison with something like nutmeg. Thoughts?
