    Yep, they were plated. Lots of shiny dust on the lathe. I guess I could have them re-plated, but chrome doesn't play well with sharp points. That would also triple the cost. Do you guys think it's OK to just blow the rollers off and call it good or is anyone worried about a little bit of...

    Being a chronic bargain shopper and tinkerer, I thought I would give one a shot. Bought an AMACO craft/pasta roller from Michaels. I dismantled it to put a knurl on the rollers and the rollers ARE NOT STAINLESS. A magnet will stick to it. They appear to be plated. I am going to try a knurl...
