K well I couldnt help myself :-) It was time to add the rest of the stuff so I thought what the hey , ad the cherries as well !!!! maybe it works maybe it dont guess I will know in about a month :-)
Thanks Sarahmc ;-) ya know there is a really great bunch of folks on here !!! I dont check in s often as I would like but I always seem to get just the answer from some one such as yourself . So thatnks for the great input .The stuff is bubbling along nicely will check the gravity this evening...
A bit of an update I let it sit for a little over two full days before I pitched the yeast . It has been a ccouple of days and there seem to be a bit of bubbling going on. so looks like I am off to a good start.going to wait for a couple more days and move it in to a carboy wait until it drops...
Kinda silly question I know but . I have started some Skeeter pee but instead of using lemon i have used Lime juice. I am wanting to add some Oregon brand cherries after priary fermantion but could have swore the can said "in water" instead i noticed today that they say in heavy syrup. Ya think...
And dang that stuff is good.
But I have heard of people using lime instead of lemon. I am going to try that next I found 15 oz bottles of reallime. I am going to do it like skeeter pee but with the addition of cherries as well. found Oregon brand pitted cherries in water at the local stoe ...
Sounds awesome SARAMC will have to try it . just racked into another jug tested it sg was 1.006 I just had to try it , a little yeasty but other then that not much taste at all :-( guess thats not all bad back sweeten a bit and see what happens .
Thanks thats the kind of input I was looking for :-) as you can tell I am just starting so lots of stuff I probably missed . Heck I dont think it can kill me , and I seem to retain stuff better after some mistakes !!! which Im pretty good at :-) will let ya know . And again thanks for the input...
Ok I saw a thread on here and no one had a answer soooooo. Today while I was at the store I found some black cherry juice and it is now in a gallon jug :fro: Here is what I used just looking for some kind of insight as to what you may think I can expect .
