    GFCI Panel Wiring correct?

So i bought a 60amp Spa Panel on CL. Eaton #CH60SPA. It's a 3 wire setup. Not the usual 4 i have been seeing. Someone please tell me i have this wired correctly. The lines going into the breaker are to me E-kettle. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxb3Mzgk0gEDU2Z2Vjl5bDg3VkU/view?usp=sharing

    Is this Panel a GFCI?

So I was planning on using my washer/dryer outlet for me E-Kettle. My question is do i need a spa panel for the GFCI? The outlet runs to a Disconnect/Panel outside of my Electrical panel in my unfinished basement. Does this already have GFCI protection?

    Brett AFTER a kettle sour

So my 2nd kettle sour i pitched Wyeast Lacto in a 6 gallon batch. Got the ph down to 3.7 before brewing. I pitched Belle Saison Dry. The plan was to let it sit Tart Cherries in secondary. 14 days after pitching FG was at 1.010 and it smelled like parmesan cheese. I raised the temp to 85F for 2...

Must I Lager a Cream Ale?

There are many ways to bring the Temp of the Fermenter down. Submerge it in an ice water bath, Have a wet towel draped over the fermenter dipped in water(evaporation), have a fan blowing on it. You can get it into the 60's quite easily. A Cream Ale is an ALE.

    Parti-Gyle volume question

Iv'e done a few Parti Gyles. When i make a recipe with Beersmith i set the eff at 55% to guess the first runnings. I dont Batch Sparge. i just do a Mash Out. I make sure to add enough Mash Out to = my Boil volume. I then add my grain(and water)for my second beer and do a second mash (if...

batch spargers - how long do you wait?

Channeling in itself is a fact and we can agree on that at the very least. With that said, if your only doing a SINGLE sparge then channeling most definately has a risk. I know it through trial and error of my own experience. If your doing multiple batch sparges then you eliminate that risk...

batch spargers - how long do you wait?

When i first built my mash tun was getting 60% eff doing a single batch sparge. I ended up changing to a double sparge and increased my eff to 68-70%. I dont wait at all. I just add 170F water, stir, lauter, sparge. My manifold is CPVC. I ended up adding additional CPVC to the middle of the...

How to build a 5 gal, 110v eBIAB kettle

Thanks for the reply. So i ended up using an electrical box and i wired a light switch to it. I Drilled a 1" hole in the box and slipped the Element through it and used the SS locknut and O-ring on the inside of the pot. No leaks with 5 gallon of water sitting in it. I surrounded the element...

How to build a 5 gal, 110v eBIAB kettle

I'm attempting a simular build. I've done the weldless ball valve and i'm about to add 1 element to start. I bought a 1500 watt element at Lowes. I got the PVC, silicone and JB as well. I cant find a 1' shim anywhere. I ordered 2 1" SS locknuts from Bargainfittings but no shim. I really dont...

I placed for the first time ever in a Home Brew competition! I have been brewing for 7 years and have been entering brews for the past 2 in a few competitions here in Indiana. For the heck of it i decided to enter in a competition in Dayton Ohio, less than a 2 hour drive away. i made a day of it...

    OnederBrew.....anyone try this?

I would really like to see a "cone" only version. No Pressure valve. But drilled and ready to go. No "carbing". Basiclly a "convert your 5 gallon bucket to conical" only. Legs too. So... The cone + legs + 2 spigots + Valve and stem for CO2 release + gasket and clamp ring. How much? Edit: And...
